Alice Carlson Applied Learning Center is a Fort Worth ISD Elementary School across Cantey from Texas Christian University. Our proximity to TCU makes our school the closest off-campus parking location to Amon G. Carter Stadium (barely a five minute walk).
Carlson parents arrive 3 hours before each TCU home game to park cars on the parking lot and field for the game. Our efforts help fund important arts and other programs at our kids' school.
Most of the season parking spots are general admission - we guarantee you a spot on game day and the spots (mostly on our school's field) will be assigned as you arrive. We make sure that no one is blocked in so that you can leave during the game, if necessary.
Our volunteers (parents with real jobs during the day and kid's math homework at night) will arrive 3 hours before game time to open the lot and guide you to the next available slot.
We will ensure that the lot is available to season parkers only until 30 minutes after the scheduled game start time.
We suggest that $180 of the season parking amount is a tax-deductible donation to the ACALC PTA. In other words, for as little as $300 you can have a guaranteed parking spot less than five minutes away from the stadium.
Each season parking patron will receive a parking pass that they can transfer to any vehicle.
While we don't prohibit tailgating, please understand that alcohol isn't allowed on school property. Some season parkers like to set up tents or grills and set up lawn chairs to visit with their party, that's no problem. However, you will need to buy an additional parking spot(s) for your gathering. Otherwise, we park cars on every available square inch of pavement and field (except for the firelanes, of course).
Park for the Arts and this website are administered by Carlson dads Mike Coffey and Richard Keeler.
